So…everyone flubs on grammar every now and then, right?

It happens to the best of us, even those of us who pride ourselves on having impeccable grammar. From what I have seen, usually these slip-ups are a result of hearing a word or phrase wrong and then repeating it the same way. For instance, “irregardless” is something I hear all the time, but so many people are saying it, how could anyone who isn’t a grammar geek realize that it isn’t an actual word?

Honestly, many of these surprised the hell out of me. I didn’t think most of these could possibly make sense, but grammar is one of my biggest pet peeves. I guess if it were sports I would look like a complete imbecile. ( Like, what are the Chicago bears? a baseball team? Are there even Chicago Bears out there?) So for all of you who would like to avoid sounding like an illiterate imbecile, (or, prince charming, if you are out there and would like to avoid annoying me) then please take a look at this list!
