This is the story of an amazing chimp called Washoe. After being taught how to sign, Washoe learned to communicate with her handlers. One of her main carers was called Kat. One day Kat experienced a terrible tragedy. To everyones amazement, Washoe understood and more surprisingly showed total compassion.
